Grade 6: Landscape Drawings with Graphite Pencils

Students created dynamic landscape drawings inspired by the drawings of artist
Vincent Van Gogh. Students used a variety of lines, values and textures and learned how to create atmospheric perspective in their landscapes. Additionally, the Principles of Rhythm, Repetition and Movement were stressed throughout the project to help create a unified composition. Check out these proud students and their amazing artworks they created in class.

GALLERY WALK
Students participated in a Gallery Walk after completing their drawings. Students examined, analyzed and commented on each others work with written comments and a lively discussion. Here are some photos of the gallery walk and exemplary work from grade 6 students.
